• As a side business venture I import and sell epoxy and wood furniture.
• This gives me a first hand experience of marketing and business management.

In the meantime as a part-time, I am working with trust payments as a Gozo based technician. Being part of such team I learned to adapt and work in a dynamic working environment. Moreover, I also learned to keep up with the demands accordingly as requested. Having said this, I took the opportunity to familiarize myself with the processes taking place when an EPOS machine is used and set up. Last but not least this helped me to take ownership of the tasks assigned to me.

My Role included many responsibilities some of which were:

• Creating new software tools that helped personnel work more efficiently and with better data entry checks for a more efficient way of work.
• Revamping and modernizing tool that used Microsoft Access into a custom-made, more versatile, more secure, and more easy to use software, which I built from scratch.
• problem solving and patching issues with the remaining old tool until they are rebuilt.
• Entering core and sensitive data in the main Managing software (such as Epicor Tropos and SAP)
• Created running reports for business decision making mostly by making use of SSRS and also had the opportunity to start exploring the use of PowerBI.
• Prepared costings reports as per request.
• I was also a helping hand to the IT person when he was not present on site with some minor issues solving (which my limited permissions allowed me to fix) that occurred to other employees.

During this working experience I had the opportunity to experience the other side of IT services, which is Customer support. Even though when I was a software developer I did support some applications, I never had the opportunity to have direct contact with the clients. Having said this, I was able to learn more in detail on the processes of the Windows operating system. Moreover, having the whole government users as your clients the workload is always on going, and that helped me to learn, to be more focused, more productive and to do the tasks quickly and precise as possible to keep a good level of service as much as possible. Further More, since I was a software developer myself I was trusted with the ownership of the coding and maintenance of the email signature scripting of the whole Government ministries and entities. This meant that I had the responsibility to be part of the chain process of the latest government ministry re-shuffle.

Various technologies/coding languages used are:

• Visual Basic.NET scripting
• HTML and CSS coding
• Experience in using APIs
• Using the Azure Cloud

Some of my main responsibilities in this job were:

• Technical Client Support
• maintenance and updating of the Email signature script for the whole government
• Correspondence of emails with clients

During this working experience I had the opportunity to experience various technologies/coding languages including both old and new, some of which are:

Some of my main responsibilities in this job were:

▪ enhancements on existing systems including all the cycle (from backend to frontend)

During this period I was still a student and in the meantime of completing my thesis, I had the opportunity to have this work experience. During this work experience my duties where to implement enhancements within the whole system from end to end.

This short experience helped me understand to shoulder some responsibility in my teen age years

As a kitchen crew, I had various responsibilities like cooking burgers, refill the freezers/chillers and clean the equipment and tools amongst others, everything depended on what job was assigned for the shift being. In such situations to be a team player is fundamental, and this job experience helpful to me to earn such skill.
