As an expert in the inspection, testing and verification of oils, chemical gases, and chemicals I was engaged to enhance business opportunities on the African continent, mainly by;

• Expanded regional market presence by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
• Identified new business localities and assisted in set up banch offices accordingly

Joined SGS in 1998 as oil, gas and chemical (OGC)custody transfer inspector in their Libya Branch office where at the various terminals and refineries, I inspected various petroleum cargoes

In 2005 I was promoted OGC business development manager. In this position I served in Libya, Mozambique, Angola, Ghana, Togo and the Canary islands up to 2021. As the BDM it was my responsibility to:

• Ensure department provided high quality service to our clients, through training, ISO system implementation and upkeep
• Implemented innovative sales tactics to penetrate untapped markets, resulting in significant revenue growth.
• Expanded regional and local market presence by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
• Achieved consistent results surpassing annual sales quotas through focused targeting of high-potential accounts.

Mediterranean Survey Bureau Ltd provided custody transfer inspections of petroleum products, such as crude oil, petroleum products, chemical gases and chemical.

I joined as a trainee, learning the trade through in house training program, eventually reaching junior status to inspector and up to senior inspector. The job covered

• Measuring quantities of products on board tankers, shore tanks, barges etc by following international API standards
• Sampling cargoes
• Preparing reports for clients
• Upheld safety regulations by attending safety related courses

Following a 3 year course provided by the Health department I was assigned to work in Public health Microbiological laboratory where:

• Performed microbiological analyses of food and water
• Prepared media from components
• Enhanced laboratory efficiency by maintaining and calibrating equipment for accurate experimental results..
• Reduced contamination risks in cultures by working diligently with aseptic techniques during sample preparation.
• Increased lab safety by enforcing proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.

In this position, I was mainly involved in the beer bottling hall, where beer was bottled, canned and kegged.

My role was to follow all the process to ensure an optimum final product by

• Performing chemical and microbiological analyses on various components at various stages to ensure the set standards are met
• Perform Organoleptic analyses
• Supported continuous improvement initiatives by sharing best practices and contributing to process optimization efforts.
