Summary

I am currently employed at Hutchinson, working as an Automation & Maintenance Engineer. I am in possession of a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree in Electronics and Control Engineering from the MCAST University College. I am also currently in the final stage to earn the Wireman License 'A' and enrolled in a Pre-Warrant Qualification course, which will make me eligible to apply for a warrant once it is completed.

I consider myself to be honest, reliable, knowledgeable, diligent and hard working. From a young age I have gained valuable experience in developing team skills, which were mainly acquired from being part of a football team and during my summer job as an interior finisher. I have continued to develop these skills working together with my colleagues at Methode Electronics. Furthermore, I also developed communication and consultation skills which are essential when dealing with different clients and employees.

Skills

Communication Skills - Good communication skills gained through sports from a young age I further enriched such skills during voluntary work and my summer job Such posts required constant interaction and communication with different people During my scholastic career I also had the opportunity to further strengthen such skills, as it required to communicate with my fellow class mates on a daily basis, especially when assigned a group project or assessment At Methode Electronics, constant communication with my colleagues is optimum, as it is key for a successful project

Organisational Skills - I demonstrate initiative and organisational skills, which I've learnt during voluntary work at Nadur Local Council During my MCAST degree I continued to improve such skills

Problem Solving Skills - I consider myself to perform very well under pressure During my time at MCAST, as students we were constantly given problems to solve and at some stages put under pressure to do so With the help of these tasks I was able to improve my problem solving skills as I tend to think and work efficiently to find the ideal solution and remain calm so that pressure does not effect my final results At Methode I am faced with different problems on a daily basis and working as an engineer helped me learn more how to tackle problems more efficiently

Time Management Skills - I learnt to manage my time efficiently initially during my time with the Nadur Local Council were I was given several tasks with their own specific deadlines Thus, I had to manage the process efficiently to meet the specified deadlines During my time at MCAST I further enriched such skill as I was constantly given assessments with a deadline Therefore, it was a must to manage the tasks and time accordingly to meet the deadlines and specifications assigned These skill were very useful and I continued to improve them at Methode Electronics, as my job consists of several project with deadlines and other tasks that must all be manage inside a tight timeframe

Team Skills - These skills were mostly gained from my football career, voluntary work and group assessments during my time at MCAST I am very aware that in order to succeed as a team there must be a certain bond and always back your fellow group members I continued to enhance such skills at Methode Electronics, as the projects are commissioned as a team, which requires a certain chemistry with the rest of the team to succeed

Safety - During my time at MCAST I have studied about health and safety on a workplace and have a fond background of the accidents that could occur and how to prevent them I also had the opportunity to promote health and safety at first hand during my summer job as an interior finisher During my time at Methode Electronics, a machine would then be operated by several operators both during the commissioning phase and after it is launched Safety is practiced everyday at work as my actions may put myself and other persons at risk

Other Skills - I consider myself to be very patient, friendly and hard working I also pay attention to detail and look forward to take on new challenges
