I served as a Military Police officer, where I investigated incidents, responded to emergencies, and ensured the safety and well-being of service members. In this role, I handled sensitive situations with confidentiality, provided guidance and support to individuals in crisis, and worked closely with leadership, legal, and counseling teams to resolve cases properly. My experience in investigation, crisis management, and supporting people under stressful conditions directly aligns with the responsibilities of a SAPR position, where protecting and advocating for victims is the priority.
During my final year of service, while working at the Visitor Center, I was recognized and coined for providing exceptional customer service and attention to detail. In this role, I was often the first point of contact for service members and civilians visiting the base. Many individuals approached me with sensitive concerns, including sexual harassment, domestic violence, and personal safety issues.
I carefully listened to each person, ensured their concerns were handled confidentially, and connected them with the proper support services. My ability to remain calm, professional, and empathetic while managing multiple complex situations earned recognition from leadership. This award reflects my commitment to providing high-quality support, maintaining strict confidentiality, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel, all of which directly translate to the responsibilities of a SAPR role.
