As the Nursing Manager, I am responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered nursing care at The Imperial Residential Care Home. This leadership role involves supervising nursing staff and carers, managing clinical operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a compassionate and supportive environment for residents and their families.

A key part of my role is to ensure the creation of individualized care plans that reflect the unique needs and preferences of each resident. I also play a vital role in supporting new residents and their families through the transition into care, helping them navigate what is often a significant and emotional life decision to spend their golden years in a retirement home.

• Engage in discussions with patients to understand their symptoms and needs further
• Provide treatments and administer medication as prescribed, including oral, intravenous, and topical treatments
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and ongoing treatment plans
• Conduct initial assessments and gather comprehensive medical histories
• Monitor and record patients' vitals
• Prepare patients for ENT procedures
• Provide post-procedural care, including dressing changes and wound care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Adhere to infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections
• Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients
• Advocate for patients
• Stay current with advancements in healthcare by attending several conferences and courses
