Other responsibilities & Experience:
Between 2006 and 2008 part of the Pollution Preventation & Control Unit including implementation of water quality directive. Liaison with laboratories for sample collection and analyses preparation of budgets and quotations for sampling and analyses. Preparation of National Public reports on water status and reporting under the respective European Directive.
From 2008 onwards I was assigned duties within the Environmental permitting & Industry Unit and was responsible for reviewing of EP applications and compliance requirements. Was also involved in drafting of TORs and guidance documents related to ship generated waste, monitoring of marine discharge, baseline reports for land and groundwater monitoring.
As from September 2013, in addition to retaining a number of the above duties, I have taken on new duties mostly focused on the implementation of Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) provisions within the Industrial Emissions Directive (2010/75/EC).
Work duties included carrying out analyses on Posidonia oceanica samples, sorting and analyses of sediments and species classification in relation to environmental surveys and projects in which the company was involved.
Information Technology Development:

Main duties and responsibilities included: Development of a Web portal, database up- keeping, product research, standards and policy writing, general clerical duties.
Work duties included daily routine analysis of conductivity, turbidity, colour analysis, UV determination and water quality analysis of a number of products within the Raw Materials Quality Assurance Laboraoty of the Soft-Drinks Department. Development of SOP’s and use of Pharmacopeia Standard Procedures was also carried out as well as assistance in regular stock taking exercises of chemicals and other usables within the company.
Responsibilities included work on entitlement applications related to Children’s' Allowance and dealing with Customer Care related queries within the division.
