  • rk duties within the Environement Permitting Unit included: Supervision of other members of staff within the Unit in the processing of both environmental permits and IPPC permits as well as coordination of workload of individuals
  • Reesponsible for ensuring that officers follow the necessary procedures and guidelines during the processing of IPPC applications

  • Coordination of public consultation related to IPPC applications and presentation of application to the ERA Board
  • Handling of a number of environmental permits including pre-permit consultations, reviewing of application and supporting of documentation, drafting of permit and necessary consultation for final decision

Between 2006 and 2008 part of the Pollution Preventation & Control Unit including implementation of water quality directive. Liaison with laboratories for sample collection and analyses preparation of budgets and quotations for sampling and analyses. From 2008 onwards I was assigned duties within the Environmental permitting & Industry Unit and was responsible for reviewing of EP applications and compliance requirements. As from September 2013, in addition to retaining a number of the above duties, I have taken on new duties mostly focused on the implementation of Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) provisions within the Industrial Emissions Directive (2010/75/EC).
