Local coordinator overseeing high school foreign exchange students in Fergus County. Ensuring the well-being of and AYA compliance by regularly meeting with, monitoring, reporting and establishing relationships with host families, students and the community throughout the exchange year. Responsible for addressing any concerns by all parties encompassing mediation, disciplinary actions, managing occasional appointments, medical emergencies, and if necessary facilitating a student's return to their home country due to unforeseen circumstances. Additionally, I may also seek out and relocate a student to a different host family locally or across the country if initial placement has failed.
Served as an elected member of the MFPE Board of Directors for MFPE for approximately five years. While holding a fiduciary duty to our members, this position required guiding MFPE and its officers towards strategic decisions that align with the interests of MFPE, its members, and its employees. For the last two years, I have held the elected position of Treasurer. I have participated in leadership and treasurer training, attended national conventions across the USA, and I regularly collaborate with the CEO and Executive Director in developing a balanced multi-billion dollar budget for the organization serving as a framework for the upcoming cycle. In my capacity at the Montana Mental Health Nursing Care Center I serve as the President of the MFPE local chapter. In this role, I regularly engage with state and local management, as well as my members to resolve conflicts, address workplace concerns, assist with disciplinary actions and participate in bargaining negotiations.
As a CNA, I provide to the residents the responsibilities outlined in my job description, including vital signs, daily care, assisting with needs, transfers to appointments and facilities while maintaining, documenting, and reporting information as necessary. As a Licensed Medication Aide II, I continue to fulfill CNA Duties while also administering medications, ensuring proper documentation, adhering to safety protocols and communicating any issues/concerns/patient info to the wing nurse. I also prioritize building strong working relationships with core staff, travel/contracted personnel and residents' families as necessary, while collaborating effectively with my colleagues to ensure the wellbeing of the residents at MMHNCC.
