I find teaching the students as much rewarding for me as it is for them. This is encouraging me to excel in becoming a better instructor through continued education and certification. I am planning to be ski instruction for many years ahead and teach many more future skiiers.

I come from a tightly-knit family of eight people. I have five little brothers and no sisters, I grew up being the oldest brother and that has greatly contributed to my values and attributes. I was forced at a very early age to be a dedicated leader and role model for my siblings and it is something I have carried with me through my childhood and into my young adult life. I began babysitting my brothers around the age of eight, and I often carried out tasks way outside of my comfort zone such as packing the car for road trips early in the morning or mowing the lawn independently. I had many experiences that built upon each other to give me certain skills and abilities that helped me mature as I got older. I matured at a young age and it carries over to many areas of my life today. I take very seriously my faith in Christianity, and I have been going to Harvest Springs Community Church since I was two years old. I went through roughly ten years of Youth Ministry and had many great mentors and teachers. I now serve regularly Sunday mornings as a volunteer children's teacher and helper. I am dedicated to helping young kids get the education and teaching in ministry that I was fortunate enough to receive when I was young. Another area that has been affected today by the experiences of my youth is my job at Showdown Ski Area near Neihart, MT. I began working as a ski instructor in January of 2021, I first started because I had a passion for skiing and I loved working with kids. Immediately I found that I had a gift for patience in the field of teaching and motivating both young and old clients. I discovered a deep strive to make every lesson a fun and positive environment to provide maximum comfort and performance capability for whoever was trying to learn how to ski. I began the process of getting my PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors Association) Certification in December of 2021. I took various online courses and classes to prepare for the in-person training, and I began PSIA Level 1 Certified in March of 2022. This past winter I began my Level 2 courses, with the goal being a PSIA Level 2 Certificate by the end of the 2023-24 ski season. I decided to take the next steps in growing as a ski instructor because I wanted to be able to provide the best learning experience for people who want to learn to ski, and I want to share the love and passion I have found in skiing with them. I come from a well-rounded household, the son of two hard-working parents who have done their absolute best and then some to provide my brothers and I with a beautiful childhood, and I plan to carry that hard-work and dedication forward into my own life.
